Madhyamik Exam 2027 May Be Postponed - WBBSE Proposes 2 to 16 March

Madhyamik Exam 2027 Postponement

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has sent a proposal to postpone the Madhyamik Pariksha 2027 by about 15 days. Under the proposal, the Class 10 examination would be held from 2 to 16 March 2027 instead of 15 to 25 February 2027.

The board has sent the proposal to the state School Education Department because teachers who conduct the examination will be deployed for Census 2027 enumeration work from 25 January to 28 February 2027. WBBSE President Laltu Das said on 3 November 2026 that it is only a proposal and nothing has been finalised yet.

Until a revised routine is notified, the existing schedule remains in force. The current subject-wise dates and timings are on our WBBSE Madhyamik Routine 2027 page.
